Someone has to do more than provide emotional support. Someone has to provide answers and solutions to the hundreds of questions difficulties that arise because of the situation. What is needed is an agency that newly diagnosed people can contact to get answers, solutions, emergency financial support and assistance in uncovering all of the resources and options available to them." Services We Provide:
Information on government agencies, service societies, disability and insurance benefits, counseling services and emergency financial assistance to those suddenly afflicted with a disabling illness. |

Members of the Laurel Highlands Multiple Sclerosis Support Group are well aware of the difficulties that arise with the sudden onset of a disabling illness. “What do I do now?” “Where can I go” “Who can help me?” are all questions we’ve asked ourselves and heard from others hundreds of times over the past eighteen years. Agencies and organizations are out there that can help, however, hunting them all down can take months and even years. We saw the need for a single place where newly diagnosed people can turn to and get information on ALL of the resources available to them. |

The Laurel Highlands Bridge of Hope Foundation (LHBOHF) is a new agency formed, and in the process applying for nonprofit status, by members of the Laurel Highlands Multiple Sclerosis Support Group designed to address all of the needs and issues of people in the Laurel Highlands area stricken by the onslaught of a sudden disabling illness. Anyone wishing to assist our efforts through services, financial support, advice, donations of office equipment, furniture, computers and the like, should contact us.
